Atrum Arte

All about these crazy craftspeople.

We live in not always sunny NE Portland, Oregon. Our home is a small, almost urban farm, wildlife sanctuary, and our workspace. We have chickens, rescue dogs, a five year old daughter, fish, and lots of wild visitors. Good neighbors, farmers markets, and parks all around us, along with a diverse community make it a pretty nice place to live and be creative.

We volunteer here and there to try and help make our neighborhood even better for everyone. Currently we are involved with our local neighborhood association, help with habitat restorations, and volunteer to help various organizations that help build up the people of our community

While we can't make all the parts of everything we use in our creations, when we can we shop local, reuse, upcycle and recycle. You can order a few things from us online, but we mostly sell local, in shops we enjoy or at fairs during the summer.

If you see us around, we do have plenty of smiles, hand made items which we put our hearts and mojo into, try to sell at a minimal profit to us, a "talk to us if it isn't right so we can fix it" policy, and an enjoyment of seeing people appreciate what we make. We do our best to make things affordable, but like everyone else, we want to have the basic necesseties of life, food, water, and shelter. On the rare occasions we end up with more than we need of those things, we tend to share them with our community. The closest thing you will see to us launching rockets into space is probably us rocketing to the park on a bicycle and we hope that you will smile when you do.

Thank you for your support, the Furstners
